What to See

Every year vendors of minerals, fossils, gems, jewelry and beads set up their booths at the show.
Browse mineral and fossil specimens from all around the world.
Find that perfect gem to complement your favorite outfit.

The Club

While vendors make up a large portion of the show, the Tar Heel Gem & Mineral Club hosts a number of activities as well.

A select few put together exhibits from their lifelong collections. These sealed cases have some fabulous pieces that you're unlikely to see anywhere else.

Geode Cutting

Buy a sealed geode and a club member will cut it for you. The crystals inside geodes take thousands of years to form, but you'll be the first to see its magnificence.

Silent Auctions

Visit our silent auction booth which runs all weekend. Some are open to everyone, while others are just for the kids. There are lots of fantastic deals to be had, so be sure to check it out while you're here.

Hospitality Booth

The Hospitality Booth sells grab bags, rock candy and T-Shirts. Club members will sort out your grab bag finds and help you identify what you got. They also have information about upcoming activities and how to join the club.

Thank You!

Last year's show was a blast, and we want to send a big thank you to all who attended.

And to all the club members who volunteered their time, a big thank you to you as well. Without the generosity of our volunteers, we wouldn't be able to make this happen. So thank you to each and every one of you.
